1. Who can use Goalee?
Short answer: Business users only – sorry, no personal emails allowed!
Why? Because Goalee is built for remote teams and companies. You’ll need to sign up with your work email domain (no Gmail, Yahoo, or private emails). Think of it as your team’s exclusive clubhouse!
The good news: You can use Goalee anywhere, anytime, on any device. As long as you have an internet connection and a trusted browser – you’re good to go!
Admins can even add alternate domains (like .org vs .com) so teammates with matching company domains can join the fun.
2. Can I try the app before buying?
Absolutely! Every new user gets three free games to test drive:
One Goals Game (without documents)
One Goals Game (with documents)
One Interests Game
Play, explore, and if you love it, your company can grab a subscription so the whole team can join.
3. What’s with the subscriptions - how do they work?
Subscriptions work at the company domain level. Buy one, and everyone with the same domain can join using a simple one-time code.
We now offer three tiers with new names, quotas, and pricing:
Basic: 10 Goals Games (without documents) + 2 Interests Games (with non-realistic AI images).
Pro: 20 Goals Games (without documents) + 10 Goals Games (with documents) + 2 Interests Games (with realistic AI images). Each user can ask up to 50 questions at the end of a Document Game.
Premium: 30 Goals Games (without documents) + 20 Goals Games (with documents) + 3 Interests Games (with realistic AI images). Unlimited Q&A at the end of each Document Game.
Subscriptions are prepaid for fixed periods, prices don’t change mid-term, and upgrades are always possible.
4. What happens when a subscription ends?
No worries – your account and data stay safe. When your company renews or starts a new subscription, just verify your email and you’re back in the game with full access.
5. What’s up with roles, badges and points?
We now have three roles:
Standard: Play any game, create Goals Games (without documents), and create Interests Games.
Doc Uploader: Everything Standard has + ability to upload documents (PDF, link, text), create Document Games, edit AI-generated Q&A, enrich documents with new files, and view game statistics.
Admin: Everything Doc Uploader has + manage users (add/remove), assign roles, and add alternate domains.
As always, you still earn points for correct answers and collect badges as fun milestones – but remember, these are just for fun and not tied to job performance.
6. What’s the deal with documents and AI?
Our new feature lets Doc Uploaders upload documents (PDF, link, or text). Goalee’s AI automatically generates up to 20 questions in a multiple-choice quiz (with 4 answers each, 1 correct). You can edit, delete and add new questions, all with the help of our AI!
Also, our AI gives you the ability to ask questions at the end of each Document Game about the underlying Document.
Doc Uploaders can edit and correct every Q&A set to fix AI hallucinations or errors before publishing.
Transparency note: AI-generated content is always labeled as such (EU AI Act requirement).
7. Are those cool images AI made? Can I use them?
Yes! Our AI tool creates fun images based on your profile and interests. Depending on your tier, you get either non-realistic or realistic AI images.
You own these images and, with your employer’s okay, can even use them commercially. Just don’t remove the AI label – transparency is key, and it’s required by law.
8. Is my data safe?
Absolutely! We’re fully GDPR and CCPA/CPRA compliant.
Personal data is stored securely and processed only as needed.
All of our sub-processors operate under strict Data Processing Agreements.
Game statistics (who played, score, time) are only visible to Doc Uploaders/Admins on the same subscription.

9. What’s the deal with payments and refunds?
Payments are handled securely by Payten.
Subscriptions are prepaid (30, 180, or 365 days).
Refunds only apply for billing errors or where required by law.
No proration for cancellations, but upgrades are always allowed.
10. Who can see my goals, interests, and document games?
Goals & Interests Games: Visible only to users with the same email domain (or approved alternate domains).
Document Games: Visible only to your company’s subscription users. Doc Uploaders/Admins can also see who played, their scores, and completion times.
